Song of the Morning, a new world center of yoga culture, is located on 800 acres of beautiful rolling woodland in northern Michigan. It is the perfect place for pursuing the spiritual reality that flows like a deep river beneath the chaos of our times.
Welcome. Song of the Morning is a yoga retreat of excellence operated by Golden Lotus, Inc. Golden Lotus, a Michigan non-profit corporation, has three primary areas of operation.
Song of the Morning Ranch is first and foremost a yoga retreat of excellence that serves as a place of relaxation and spiritual refreshment to “all truth thirsty souls.” Our retreat center conducts meditation services and provides members and guests with an environment in which to learn and practice timeless spiritual techniques and principles anchored in the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Our Clear Light Community is a residential community based upon the concept of Paramahansa Yogananda’s World Brotherhood Colony. It is comprised of sincere seekers who have come together to live and work in harmony and to apply the scientific principles of Yoga so as to accelerate their spiritual growth and attain full realization of their highest potential.
Educational Programs. We offer programs and retreats that teach methods for reaching a better understanding of one’s physical, mental, and spiritual potential. Subjects on various applications of the science of Yoga are explored in a practical and scholarly manner.
